✂️ Trim Video

Cut a clip down to just the part you need and export an MP4 — processed on your device with FFmpeg in the browser, nothing uploaded. Free, no account needed.

First use downloads a ~30MB video engine (one time, then cached by your browser). Processing runs entirely on your device's CPU, so it's slower than a phone app — a short clip usually takes well under a minute, longer ones more.

About this tool

Drop the video, set the start and end time, and export. Handy for turning a long screen recording into a short clip for a bug report, a devlog or a social post. Optionally compress it at the same time.

Trimming runs on your device; nothing is uploaded.

How to use it

  1. Drop a video file onto the page (MP4, WebM, MOV and most common formats).
  2. Set the start and end points for the trim.
  3. Choose a compression level or target resolution.
  4. Click process, wait for the progress bar, and download the result.

Frequently asked questions

Is trimming lossless?

The clip is re-encoded to MP4, which is what makes the output play everywhere. At the default quality the difference is not visible.

Which formats can I drop in?

MP4, WebM, MOV and most other common containers FFmpeg can read.

Is the video uploaded?

No — processing is local.
